It’s the special night that children love
They wait and watch the skies above
They wish and wish with all their might
That they might get to see the sight
The sight of reindeer flying in the sky
Pulling a sleigh with a big fat guy
Red suit and hat and a beard of white
He only comes on this special night
The grownups say, it’s time for sleep
Now go to bed & make na’er a peep
And by the morning you will see
Gifts all wrapped and under the tree
With excitement and glee all around
Children in their PJs all over town
They have some water and say good night
They climb the stairs, Mom puts out the light
And in the morning, it’s plain to see
The stockings filled and gifts under the tree
The cookies and milk were nowhere in sight
They knew that Santa had come last night.
